Thanks to all the guys at the Port Adelaide Meet & Greet last Saturday, I had a great time. Special thanks to Pottsy, my duty driver who delievered me safely home. It was good to see friendly faces from the Mildura Reunion and some others from many years gone by, like Mark Loram & Bob King. Thanks to Bob for pointing out that we shared a common acquaintance and for the stories from "Chesty's Bar" Marines Club, Mare Island, Calif and of course the Horse & Cow. Brings tears to my eye mate.

CHANGE OF DATES FOR GREENIES MEET & GREETS Following some concerns about the November Meet & Greet losing numbers due to the mad rush of the approaching Christmus rush, we have decided to change the dates from the current third Saturday in May and November to the first Saturday in March and September, the next Meet & Greet will now be Saturday 7th March, 2009, so please mark the date in your diary. The annual Meet and Greet in the US (California) will remain unchanged and occur at a suitable time around April 25th.

To one and all, what a great experience it was catching up with dear friends from years gone by. I don't know why I waited 20 years to resume contact. I do look forward to the next reunion. To the organisers a job well done, thank you.

Thirty seven of the Royal Australian Navy's finest Greenies gathered at the Port Adelaide Naval Association for the November Meet & Greet yesterday. Those who attended were...... Rod Baker, John Bolton, Gene Boron, Trevor Brown, Mich Cain, Roy Collins, Kim Daw, Chris Egan, Jeff Howlett, Gomez Isumski, Ray Kemp, Bob King, Gary Lang, Mark Loram, Mal Magor, Trevor McKerlie, Terry Merritt, Terry Norman, Mick Parker, Mal Parrington, Ian Peterson, Potsy Potterat, John Phillips, Bob Reidy, Chris Rowe, Geoff Salkeld, John Saywell, Ian Short, Mini Shuttleworth, Spotty Spotswood, John Sutton, Bill Swan, Alan Tassel, John Thackray, Liz Uren, Jack Van Eyck, Neil Walton. Apologies were received from..... John Bannister, John Bushell, Bruce Coleman, Orm Cooper, Maurie Davey, Ian Eglinton, Norm Holden, Rock Hudson, Chris McConville, Blue Reidy. John Sutton was a visitor from Queensland as he was in Adelaide on business. New faces were Liz Uren (Wran ETC) and Mal Parrington. Mal only registered last Wednesday and was able to catch up with three oppo's he hadn't seen for twent or thirty years. That's what Meet & Greets are all about! If anyone reading this hasn't attended a Meet & Greet then set aside some time next May 16th and get along to the Meet & Greet in your State. As always Trev McKerlie made his six-monthly 492 km round trip to join us, so don't tell me that travel is the reason for not attending Meet & Greets! John Bolton
